Pursuing a B.A. in English and triple minoring in Journalism, Spanish, and Information Technology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I have developed a unique set of multidisciplinary communication skills.

A communications intern at the global contract research organization, PPD, I generate communication deliverables, graphic designs, and press releases to internal employees. I was also an integral part of the company’s four-member communication initiative serving as lead writer, which followed a journalistic approach through research, interviewing, and writing engaging story pieces. 

My professional background includes 3+ years in newspaper journalism and magazine feature writing in North Carolina, most recently as a news intern for StarNews; pitched a sustainable business plan for a campus safety and geo location smartphone application at the UNC Social Entrepreneurship Conference after developing its wireframes, usability testing, and prototype; Gerald S. Rosselot scholar for the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Department of English achievement.
